![]() Feeling confused on all the different types of eyelash extensions you can choose from? Hopefully this guide will help you out. The most common type of extensions you can have is individual eyelash extensions. They are the first technique that was invented and foundation of every lash artist. Individual eyelash extensions are applied one extension on one natural lash so they are perfect for a nice mascara effect and if you like your extensions seem natural. They will give extra fullness and your friends will be wondering what new mascara you are using. In our shop in Hammersmith we offer two options for individual lashes: half set and full set. Half set is perfect if you have never had extensions before and want to try them out. They also suit you if you don't wear makeup daily and don't want the change to be too big. Full set of individual eyelash extensions are still nice and natural but they are fuller. Perfect for you if you are used to wearing mascara daily. The next level of extensions is the luxurious Russian Volume technique. If you have always wanted your lashes to be full and dark- they are for you. With this very detailed technique the artist can apply 2-10 extensions on each lash. Don't start imagining strip lashes immediately! They are totally weightless because the material which the artificial lashes are made of is many times thinner than your one natural lash. Want extra volume and length- these lashes are for you. We offer two sorts of services with Russian Volume: Natural look and Dramatic look. With natural look we apply 2-4 extensions on each natural lash, creating nice fullness but keeping them natural. Dramatic look is when we apply 5-10 extensions on each natural lash giving luxurious fullness. If you like using makeup daily, this set is for you. The most fullest extensions that are still semi permanent by lasting up to 4 weeks and not damaging your natural lashes are Mega Volume. Straight from Russia, we have brought this technique to offer it to the proper lash addicted clients. Up to 20 extensions added on one natural lash creating layers and layers of lashes. Our clients who are used to wearing dark makeup daily, love this option as it saves them a lot of time daily.
It's very easy to change from one service to another with infills so don't be scared to ask that from your lash artist. If you would still like advise on what extensions to choose, don't hesitate to contact us. PS! We are located now in 137 Goldhawk Road, W128EN Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith. xxx

3/15/2017 0 Comments The perfect Mother's Day GiftAs you know Mother's Day is almost here!
Mom's are the most important people in a girls life. They are our best friends, our mentors and inspiration. Being a mom though is the toughest job out there! Long hours, sleepless nights, constant mess and no pay. Pamper her with one of our gift cards this year and let them forget about make up for a month. They can choose between different types of eyelash extensions or LVL which is a natural lash lift. Our gift cards are available in any amounts and you can come and pick them up at the salon or we can post them to you. Email us at bookings@goldeneyelashes.co.uk or buy from http://www.goldeneyelashes.co.uk/bookappointment.html x Individual eyelash extensions are the oldest professionally applied lash extensions which makes them the most developed service in the industry. The technical part behind it is that the artificial hair are applied 1 extension on 1 natural lash. Giving you extra length and looking fuller than mascara. Depending on if you are having done a half set or a full set, your appointment can last from 45 minutes till 2hours. As it is very precise job, it really takes years of physical practice to master the skills.
Who are they best suited for? Individual eyelash extensions are perfect for ladies who like more natural looking make up or usually only wear mascara. If they are done properly, it will look like you are wearing mascara and not extensions. Whats the difference between a half set and a full set? If you have never tried extensions before and don't wear make up daily, then half set is for you. The extensions will give you a bit extra length but not as much fullness. Your lash artist will apply only 1-2mm longer extensions on you then your natural lashes. If you are going on a holiday or visiting a wedding, half set is for you! However, if you would like a bit extra fullness and not so much extra length, then we recommend the full set of individual lashes. We apply around 100-150 extensions on each eye (yes- one by one). How long do individual eyelash extensions last for? As it comes down to your lifestyle and aftercare, it depends. From our years of experience with very different people, we can say that they will look very pretty for 3-4 weeks and after that you will see that some of them have grown out a bit. However if you are very good to them, they can last for up to 6 weeks(!). This means that for up to 6 weeks, you can go mascara free!! Ladies have used extensions for years as their secret weapon on why they look amazing all the time and wake up without having a pillow face on. They are amazing for your wedding! You don't want any mascara running down your face during the party (trust me there will be tears but thankfully the good kind). And they will also last on your holiday as well! Doesn’t that sound perfect?! We all have dreamed of this day. Everything has to be perfect and no unwanted surprises can be allowed. Therefore when you are thinking about eyelash extensions, we offer a full consultation for you. We highly recommend that you will come to us one time before the wedding lashes so we could do a full set of either individual eyelash extensions or Russian volume extensions on you. This way if you feel like they are too short or you would like to change one detail, we can do that at the appointment before wedding. Ideally you would come in either couple of months or a month before the wedding. You can have them more natural looking but big enough that it would look good on pictures and compliments your make up or you can have them more dramatic if you are going with stronger makeup. When you come in to your consultation, you should mention that you are doing the lashes for your wedding day. This way our technicians can recommend the best options for you. They are trained to create eyelash extension design that would compliment your eyes and facial features. We want you to feel confident, special as you are and amazing, so you would have one less thing to worry about! Let us be part of your special day and building a perfect memory for the rest of your life. Golden Team xx
We get this question a lot. If you are a punctual person and you want everything to go without any disappointments or surprises, you are just like us!
As we are very busy, we always guide our clients to book their next infill appointment while they are in the salon. That’s because we want you to be able to receive the appointment time which suits you the best. Our lash technicians always give 100% to accommodate our clients but unfortunately there is only that many hours in one day. Our evening appointments ( anything after 5pm) are usually booked 2-3 weeks in advance and the same goes for Saturday appointments. I know you want to look astonishing for that date, amazing on your wedding day or just relaxed on your holiday. If you know your special date, you can book your appointment asap. We take bookings around 3 months in advance. As our regular clients are amazing and appreciate our time, it is very rare that we receive a cancellation. They know from experience that once the appointment is cancelled the next opportunity can only come up after couple of weeks. PS If you are one of our regular customers, thank you for being so perfect! If you have more flexible schedule, you can come and see us in the mornings or lunch time. We recommend booking those appointments 1 week in advance or more. Hope this helps you plan your time better as we know how hard it is to find time nowadays! xx Forget about running mascara on your most important day and instead look absolutely stunning the whole day and through your honeymoon with eyelash extensions!

With love, Golden Eyelashes team Eyelash extensions and eyebrow services Hammersmith/ Shepherds Bush London. www.goldeneyelashes.co.uk To help out your technician and make sure you get the best retention from your lash extensions, we have put together 3 simple points to do before you come in for your appointment.
This goes for both full sets and infills. 1. Remove your make up. Unfortunately if you have any residue left on your lashes, the extensions might not last as long. When the technician starts removing your make up, we lose around 10 minutes from your appointment, which results into having less extensions applied. Don't show up wearing strip lashes or cluster lashes. The adhesive used with fake lashes is very tacky and takes very long time to remove. 2. Take a shower before your appointment. After the extensions have been applied, they can not get wet for 24 hours so the adhesive could cure properly. If you do decide to take a shower afterwards, it might result into extensions falling out much sooner. 3. Arrive on time. This is very important as we are booked back to back and if you are late more than 15 minutes, we need to reschedule your appointment. Thank you! GE team xx 3/4/2016 0 Comments Infills? We pride ourselves with the fact that our clients wear extensions for years without any break in between. Its possible only as we choose the weight of the extensions according to natural lash health and clients need to come in only once a month for a top up service. What happens during an appointment? To keep the lashes looking neat a lot of your eyelash extensions are removed as they have grown out or they are just not pretty anymore. Then they get replaced by new extensions. If a client wishes to, we can change the length of the extensions either a bit longer or shorter. Why is it important to have infills? Usually after a week client is already noticing that her extensions have gone longer. That is because your lashes grow and the extension ends up at the tip of the natural lash. See the picture below which is taken after 3,5 weeks of previous appointment: However not all of your natural lashes are in the same life cycle at the same time. So they don’t grow out evenly. It is also very normal to notice that the extensions are falling out because some natural lashes are at the end of the life cycle and are shedding. After 3 weeks your lashes should look like the picture below. Understanding all that it is important to have infills after every 2-4 weeks because if your extensions have grown out and you have lost most of them, it takes longer time and we can’t guarantee that we will be able to fill them all in again. Our appointments are mostly booked back to back and the time for every client is very limited. Because we are very passionate about our job we also never offer a service where we can’t give 100% of ourselves and might risk with bad results. Unfortunately for that reason we do not schedule infill services after 4 weeks and new set is required. To maximise the time we spend with you, I have put together little pointers what to do before your appointment. 1. Please arrive without any eye make up. This includes eyeliner as in most cases it is still stuck on the extensions and we need to spend time to clean it. 2. If possible, wash your eyes before coming in. 3. Don't be late to your appointment. Even 5 minutes means that we have less time to tidy your extensions. 4.. Book your next infill appointment up front. Unfortunately our evening appointments are booked at least 1 month in advance, which means that if you ask for appointment in 2 days time, we wont be able to offer it to you. As our clients are aware of the situation, we hardly ever get cancellations. 5. If you have worn strip lashes or cluster lashes on top of the extensions, we cant promise we will be able to fill them. The glue which is used with party lashes is extremely sticky and almost impossible to get off from extensions. 6, If you can count how many extensions you have on and you have left your appointment too long, please book in for a new set. It is said that the first artificial eyelash extensions where put to use in 1916, when a movie director D.W Griffith first made his wigmaker apply human eyelashes to an actress Seena Owen. The wigmaker used spirit gum to attach the hair. The actress had severe eye problems throughout the following days. Seena Owens in "Intolerance" However in 1911 a Canadian women called Anna Taylor had already patented first artificial eyelash extensions in US. After the Hollywood introduced extensions on Seena Owens the industry took off! 1917 Maybelline was born and 1933 they produced first commercially available eyelash extensions. In 1967 first Mink lashes were produced in Japan. Usually extensions where manufactured from a synthetic material which gave them the same factors as real mink. By now there are available mink, silk, real mink, fox and even human hair extensions. In that time everything started to progress, application methods, different eye shapes were introduced and adhesives were developed to be better. Nowadays eyelash extension treatment is safe and overlooked by many governing parties. Education has been made very important and not anyone can be in the industry. Eyelash extensions are the fastest growing industry in the world. We are constantly thriving for better quality and safety. And its safe to say there will be even more progress! Hope you enjoyed it!
