Eyelash Extensions Near Me- tips from Experts

Are you looking to get your eyelashes done? They are sooo amazing and absolutely life changing. They will save you time and make you look and feel absolutely fabulous for over 3 weeks. And if (and you will) you get addicted, you will wear them for years.

However there is so many places offering them now in London and all around the world and we wanted to give you a really easy checklist to go through before choosing a place.

Here are 7 things to check before you book your appointment in a new place.

  1. Experience level- It’s not always accurate but a proper lash artist should have minimum 2 years of experience. In this time she has learned on how to separate natural lashes correctly and has seen enough clients to know how to choose the right length. But there are lash artists who say that they have done lashes for 10 years and still use hair glue or nail glue to place the extensions which brings us to our next point.

    2. Education- the industry is constantly changing like any other service, which means that just one training course is NOT enough. A respectful professional has gone through several if not tens of trainings with different experts to master their skill. Someone who says they have done lashes for 10 years and is only using one length of extensions on all of the natural lashes has trained once 10 years ago and is a big red flag.

    3. Picture says a thousand words- There should always be many different pictures on social media accounts or websites. If it doesn’t look professionally taken, then its good! A lash artist who is proud to share their OWN work, is trustworthy. If they are using stock photos a lot or stealing other lash artists pictures, its a red flag. It means they are either very bad at what they do, or you will end up with cluster lashes applied with hair glue.

4.Reviews (that can be backed up)- Reviews can be very deceiving. If they are posted on website with no name or written there by the owner, they might be fabricated. Online reviews which have author are most likely real reviews. There are so many systems which present real, live reviews on website. For example we have a booking system which automatically asks for clients reviews and then is uploaded to our website. We can’t change them or touch them at all.

5.Customer service- Having someone reply to you a day later can be frustrating but it doesn’t mean bad customer service immediately. Most likely the lash artist is just busy working and will answer her phone as soon as she has a moment. If they rush you with a consultation or don’t ask anything from you, that’s not good. You want to make sure she knows what kind of look are you after and that all your questions will have an answer.

6.Guarantee- Someone who believes in their quality will offer a guarantee period. At our salon we offer a week for everyone and its used almost never but it gives reassurance for clients that if they do have issues, they can be fixed. If your lashes fall off and the only answer you get from your lash artist is that they don’t care and there’s no free fixes, it must be happening a lot for her clients.

Bonus points:
      7. Awards- A professional who aspires for greatness is most likely going to industry competitions to check her quality. It is the most stressful thing a lash artist can do, because you have 10 judges who are masters in it, who are looking over your shoulder and going through every detail of your work but it is so worth it! We do that annually to push ourselves and make sure our quality has improved.

All of those things are easy to check and will take you 2 minutes when you scan someone’s  website or email them. And trust me- ending up with lash extensions which don’t damage your lashes and you don’t even feel them is totally worth it.

And the most important and easiest way to find if your lash technician is matching all these points is to book a consultation with them 2 days before. You can ask all the questions, see their work and get their recommendation during it.
